Northern Africa has a long and distinguished history. It is a tale full of deeds great and terrible, of long marches, and mighty battles, of courageous heroes and abhorable villains, of great fortresses and great disasters, of high adventure and excitement, and of horrible deaths. It is a great story, a story for the ages. A story that generations have enjoyed.
This is not that story.
Nor does this story have anything to do with Africa; much less the northern part. Nor does it have anything to do with deeds, neither great, nor terrible, nor with marches nor battles nor with heroes nor villains, and especially not fortresses.
This is not that story, and anybody who says otherwise is itching for a fight.
The world is changing.
Human procreation has reached pandemic proportions. Over 8 billion humans now populate a small class-M planet in the SOL system, along with tens-even hundreds-of billions of other species and races.
Over 30 percent of the world population lives in abject destitution and poverty. Impoverished farmers in third world countries and nations are destroying what very precious little is left of the natural rainforests, Which contain a majority of the world’s exotic, and endangered species, and over one-third of all life on earth.
Even now, the balance of world power is shifting.
The Earth is on the verge of self-annihilation. Our entire human society is on the edge of climactic, final, all-encompassing, deadly confrontation, with it’s greatest adversary-itself.
Television is reality, and reality is TV. FOX News, CBS, The New York Times, and, of course, the Tabloids are all people know of the outside world around them. Free will and individuality are being suppressed, over whelmed, crushed, by an ever growing nonconformist and anti-establishment counter-society that all conforms to one thing, being different from everyone else.
But not all is yet lost, the fire and light of creativity, individuality, and above all optimism, is still flickering in the world. It lives on in a select group of young men and women, who fight every day, against overwhelming, astronomical odds, against the overbearing powers-that-be, to keep that light, that flame, from going out forever.
